  • new man

As you all already know there is a new man in my life.  I have already told you about him some so if I am repeating myself  I hope you forgive me.

His name is Bill Barton, he is 36 years old and from Maine. He does not however have a Mainian (not a word) accent. He sounds like he is from the South. Not necessarily Ark, but he has taken on the sweet charm of a true southern gentleman.  He was in the army for 10 years, spent time as a helicopter mechanic.  He ended up here after he got out because his exwife moved their daughter here. He needed to be near her so he moved to a place with no friends and even fewer relatives to be with her.

Bill has been working at Planters for 7 years and I fondly call him, the Peanut Man. For the little man on his shirts!! He has had his daughter with him full time for a year and a half because her mom is in Iraq until the middle of August.  Shelby, his little girl is very funny, cute, and pretty smart.  She suggested to me that I should sell my car on my own because I would make more money on it than if I traded it in.  Now she is thinking. She spent the last weekend at Grandmas helping with a garage sale, and no doubt she did not allow any price fixing!!

Bill and I have spent many hours talking.  I am amazed we can talk and talk and not run out of things to say.  Also, he smiles all the time.  That makes me happy to find someone who looks at the shiny side of things and does not dwell on the ugly things.

He is a gentleman, he holds the door, opens the car door, takes the packages from my hand, makes sure he walks on my right side, (to slay the dragons in our path).  Harkens back to the prom the last time any of those things happened with any regularity.

He also helps little old ladies with flat tires.  But he does not think I am a little old lady despite the age difference.

Well, I guess I will quit being sappy for now.  Who knows what the future holds but I have run into one of the few nice guys of the world. So far I have only met 6, my dad, my brother, my son, my 3 son-in-laws and now Bill makes it 7.  Love Mom

  • Welcome to my world

    Hi Kids,

As much as I am on the internet, and with all the travel I do, thought it was time to enter the world of weblogs and photoblogs. I will try and share more of my life with you and show you the more interesting parts.  Hope I don't bore you, and if I do, don't tell me!

Sooooo, start watching for photo updates and see what kind of trouble I can get myself into.
